System Architecture

A client containing the WinRPT Suite can operate according to the following modes:

  • STAND-ALONE: WinEDT and Data Bases (Access or Oracle of the TECH Modules) reside in the same workstation;
  • CLIENT-SERVER: WinRPT client is connected via a LAN/WAN network to a centralized Server containing Data Bases of the TECH modules;

Access control (enabling WinRPT license) is performed using LOCAL or SERVER keys.

When a SERVER key is used (centralized access control), it can reside either in the Data Server containing the Data Bases, or in a different server.
